Sweet little E, isn’t she pink and precious? The knit animals were handmade by family. Welcome to the world little girl.
What do you do when the winter cold is too harsh for family photos outdoors? A simple white backdrop and a few knock knock jokes can produce some amazing photos. It also helps that this sweet family is simply beautiful!
I hope that for one weekend in February for the rest my life I am traveling somewhere warm with these people.
Almost a year to the date we kissed the kids goodbye boarded a plane and spent 4 days in Sedona with friends that make us laugh till it hurts.
We’re about to do it all over again, same people different location.
A few pics from last years adventure.
We got snow! The kids were so excited to go out and play. We had a hard time making a snowman, it didn’t pack very well, but they made an awesome giant snow cone. Even Arrow enjoyed a romp in the white stuff.
Jack, Heaven just got a lot brighter. Thank you for sharing your story with me and for being so kind to every single person you crossed paths with.
Megan and David were married at the location of their first meeting, Faith Church in Dyer IN. Their “first look” was a tree lined gravel road by the church, it was beautiful. Venturing outside for wedding pictures in January makes you a hardcore bride and groom…they were troopers.
Thank you David and Megan for having me photograph your day!
It doesn’t get much more classic than a pinewood derby, nothing has changed since it started in 1952. Henry had his first Derby last weekend and it was awesome.
Henry,
You are wonderfully complex. You keep your cards close to your chest. I love that it takes time for someone to figure out who you really are. You are crazy about Lego’s and you love salad. One day a week I let you buy lunch at school and you always pick salad with egg on it, I love that about you. You love playing mad libs “is fart a verb?” you ask. Most days I want to put a brick on your head to keep you from growing, but I’m also very excited to watch your character and personality develop. One part of your character that I love most is when you have done something wrong (unkind to your sister, disrespectful to me…etc) you repentance is honest and sincere and you try so hard not to make the same mistake again, you desire to do what is right and good. You take care of your sister. Last week at the pinewood derby we saw you put your arm around her and welcome her into your boy scout world. You approach every new experience like it’s a grand adventure, I hope you spend the rest of your life feeling that way. I love you sweet boy.
